What I mean by ” personal tragedy” is I am reading about William Bradford and during his time their was some sort of tragedy that happened when the Mayflower was anchored off Provincetown Harbor. I cannot find the answer. I need help. Can you help me?

Bradford came over on the Mayflower with his wife, Dorothy. They left their son, John, behind in Holland. December 7, 1620, Dorothy fell off the Mayflower while the ship was anchored at Provincetown Harbor and died. The marriage that started in 1613 had ended.
